He has held twelve solo exhibitions, beginning with “My name is…LOLITA” at a.antonopoulou art in Athens, and most recently “Agon” at the Museum of Byzantine Culture under the auspices of ICOM in Thessaloniki. He has participated in twenty group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, and represented Greece at the 8th and 9th Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean in Rijeka in 1997 and Rome in 1999 respectively.
Five catalogues on his work have been published, featuring texts by art historians and critics Sania Papa, Marina Fokidis, Jon Thomson, and Jim Mooney. Since 2000, he has also been included in the Dictionary of Greek Artists, Volume 4, published by Melissa Publishing House.
His works are included in the collections of the State Museum of Contemporary Art, MOMus – Museum of Modern Art – Costakis Collections, Vorres Museum, Prodea Investments (National Bank of Greece), as well as many other public and private collections.
About the artist
He was born in Veria and since 2021 has been teaching at the School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He holds a PhD titled “Picturing the Child: from photographic images to painting” from Middlesex University, as well as two postgraduate degrees from Goldsmiths, University of London and Middlesex University, awarded through a scholarship from the charitable foundation Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation. He also graduated with distinction from the School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Visual and Applied Arts.
