Evangelos Michelis is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, having studied in the workshop of Teta Makri. He later pursued further studies in Interior Design in Barcelona and specialized in emotional interior decoration.
He received awards for two consecutive years at the Commercial Interior Awards 2019 and the Interior Awards 2020, earning a total of six distinctions.
As a visual artist, Michelis has created works using a wide variety of materials, and his creations adorn numerous private and professional spaces. He has participated in many group exhibitions in galleries in Athens and Thessaloniki. His artworks belong to collections owned by collectors and organizations such as Heineken and the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art.
As a multidisciplinary creative spirit, he has also worked successfully in styling and artistic direction for photoshoots, commercials, advertising campaigns, and fashion editorials.
He has designed interiors for the residences of government officials, entrepreneurs, and artists, as well as for retail chains, hotels, and yachts. In recent years, he has also designed objects, accessories, and furniture produced in limited editions, while overseeing the production of furnishing fabrics, curtains, and wall coverings that bear his signature.
Michelis is passionate about traveling, discovering different cultures, and drawing inspiration from the cultural identity of each place he visits, integrating these influences dialectically into his work.
