    Fashion & Sustainability – Symposium & Installation

The conference is dedicated to sustainable fashion, the circular economy, and the redefinition of clothing as a cultural and social practice. The event presents contemporary artistic and theoretical approaches around ethical production, material reuse, and the relationship between fashion and the environment.

Keynote speakers at the conference include Dr. Maria Loizidou, Professor Emerita of the National Technical University of Athens, Georgia Chioni, award-winning fashion designer, lawyer, author, and filmmaker, as well as Aliki Kakoulidou and Dimitra Vasilakou from M2P – MeToo Patterns, Athens-based creators whose work focuses on sustainable creation, cultural research, and contemporary design, Vasilis Douros, representative of the Synergeia Think Tank, an initiative of professionals and scientists committed, among other things, to the values of rational discourse, the free economy, and sustainable development, and Nikos Baltas, Founding Member and Vice President of the Board of Directors of Iasis NGO, who will present the work of Fabric Republic and its contribution to managing surplus clothing, the circular economy, and social outreach.

A fashion installation and models dressed in sustainable fashion creations will move through the venue among the audience, turning fashion into an active vehicle for dialogue and awareness. In this way, the event highlights fashion not only as an aesthetic outcome but also as a cultural act and social tool.

The conference will be coordinated and hosted by Maria Kiriaki, journalist and radio producer for ERT.
